How thick are they, how much can they carry, and what are the dimensions?
Thickness: 27 microns (27µm)
In real life: made to feel strong and practical for everyday use, like:
- groceries
- takeaway boxes
- heavier food shopping (within reason)
Dimensions: W(300 + 100×2) × 600mm
That’s 500mm (W) × 600mm (H) (with 100mm side gussets on each side), or 50cm × 60cm.
Are these bags certified compostable?
Yes — they’re certified by TÜV AUSTRIA under the “OK compost” certification marks:
- OK compost INDUSTRIAL = certified to break down in industrial composting facilities
- OK compost HOME = certified to break down in a home compost setting (where supported)
They’re certified compostable and independently tested under TÜV AUSTRIA “OK compost” standards.
What are they best used for?
These bags are best for everyday carrying + smart reuse.
Best for:
- Grocery shopping (produce, pantry items, daily essentials)
- Farm shops, delis, organic stores (light-to-medium retail use)
- Takeaway / food-to-go (containers, drinks, bakery boxes)
- Second-use as a food waste liner (reuse it, then tie and dispose properly)
Not ideal for:
- Very sharp waste (broken glass, metal scraps)
- Heavy construction / garden rubble
- Long-term outdoor storage (heat + moisture can weaken compostable materials faster)
