Your Questions, Answered
What does “double strip” mean — and why does it matter?
Double strip means there are two peel-and-seal adhesive strips.
Use the first strip to seal your parcel when you ship it out. Then if your customer needs to return or reuse the mailer, the second strip lets them reseal it neatly—no extra tape, no mess, less waste.
Are these bags actually compostable — or “plastic-like” compostable?
These mailing bags are made from certified compostable bioplastic film and are certified to EN 13432, with recognised compostability marks (Seedling + TÜV AUSTRIA OK compost).
They’re designed to break down in composting conditions, unlike traditional plastic mailers which can linger for years.
Can I compost it at home, or does it need industrial composting?
Both, depending on what’s available to you. These mailers are suitable for home compost and industrial composting (where facilities exist).
For best results: remove any non-compostable labels or tape before composting.
How strong are they? Will they tear in the post?
They’re made with 60 µm compostable film, designed to be sturdy for everyday postal handling and to resist tearing and stretching during packing and transit.
Tip: like any mailer, it’s best for soft goods (clothing, accessories, stationery) rather than sharp or pointed items.
Which size should I choose?
Here’s a quick guide:
- 10" × 14" (Small): accessories, small clothing, cosmetics, books, small gifts
- 12" × 16" (Medium): t-shirts, jumpers, documents, multiple small items
- 15" × 18" (Large): bulkier clothing, larger orders, narrow shoe boxes
All sizes include the +70 mm flap for sealing.
Can customers reuse the bag — and how do they open it neatly?
Yes — these mailers are designed to be reused at least once. They include a printed scissor line so customers can cut it open cleanly without damaging the bag.
Because it’s double strip, they can reseal it for returns, storage, or another parcel before composting it.
